Although every client is different, I tend to work with the following engagement approach:
- Discovery Call
This is where we discuss your aims and objectives for the specific sessions you have in mind. - Preparation of Outline Session
I send you a draft outline of the session, showcasing the key topics I propose to cover, together with example timings and other important aspects. - Research
Although I will often have some pre-prepared materials for some topics, I am rarely able to re-use it, simply because I believe it’s important to specifically customise all content to the precise training objectives. So I routinely plan research time for every client ahead of preparing the presentation materials. - Presentation Preparation
I prepare the presentation and any associated materials (e.g. pre-read materials). I generally prepare presentations using PowerPoint although I often use Keynote when clients request it. - Session Delivery
If I’m presenting physically, I’ll travel to the destination at least oen day in advance. I also prefer to view the presentation room/facilities beforehand as sometimes materials need to be changed to deliver the best possible experience for participants. For virtual deliveries, I typically locate myself in the United Kingdom where I have a purpose-built studio with lights, microphones and a 1.8GB fixed internet connection.

My Presentation Approach
I use a dynamic and engaging approach with every session and customise my style and methodology in close collaboration with the session organiser.
I will generally make use of presentation slides and I ensure they change frequently and are simple and clear.
I also make use of interactive tools (e.g. Slido) and where possible and appropriate, I will incorporate:
- Facilitated discussions
- Roundtables
- Fireside chats
- Group experiments
- Interactive tasks
I always define all interactive formats in advance with the session organiser.
